The Pro Wrestling Iowa Network

Hey guys!

Dustin here, and I wanted to take a moment today to thank each and everyone of you for supporting what myself and my #GoodBrothers are doing here at Pro Wrestling Iowa.

What started as a fun little side project last February with myself and Brad LaFratte has turned into so much more.

I’ve been able to meet so many of you, and share our bond that connects: pro wrestling.

Professional wrestling is one of the most important parts of my life, to those who don’t get it that sounds insane.  I pity them, because they will truly never know the rush of being a part of a crowd that gets it.  You all get it, that’s why you are here reading this.

Pro Wrestling Iowa started out as a way to help bring more attention to the independent wrestling scene here in Iowa.  That quickly evolved into covering content from Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota and Nebraska.  From there, things snowballed.  When Brad left the site, I figured I’d keep plugging along and keep doing our modest little show.

Then we added post shows for WWE specials, started doing preview shows for IPW, then Wrestling Revolver, 3XW and just this week we added SCW to that list.  We’ve added shows like the Brady A. Dezire Podcast, and the soon to debut Rated R Wrestling Podcast with Justin Decent & Mike Malice (not sure my liver is going to enjoy this endeavor), but it just kept growing.

It’s to the point where I feel obligated to put more emphasis on our coverage of the independent scene here in the Midwest, hence why the Pro Wrestling Iowa Podcast, starting next week with Episode 51, will no longer have anything but local coverage.  Myself, Luke Raven and Alex McCarthy will spend a full hour each Wednesday breaking down the local scene, and bringing you exclusive interviews with the talent you see every weekend in your own backyard.

This left me with a Kevin and Darnell sized hole in my  heart, and I knew that we needed to create a new show for them and I.  That is where the decision to launch the Pro Wrestling Mothership under the Pro Wrestling Iowa banner came from.  Starting next Friday, we launch this new show that will bring even more coverage of national and international companies as the landscape of wrestling continues to evolve, so must we continue to evolve as well.

This decision, along with added focus on personality driven content (i.e. Brady A. Dezire Podcast and Rated R Wrestling Podcast), made us look at how we brand ourselves, and we realized we were no longer just the Pro Wrestling Iowa Podcast, we had grown into something bigger.

With that said, it is with great pleasure and anticipation that I announce the launch of the PRO WRESTLING IOWA NETWORK (and don’t worry, that is not the new logo above haha).

Evolution is a mystery as we all know, so where we go from here, I don’t know…what I do know is that you are all going to want to stay strapped in because it’s going to be a fun ride.

Make sure you are following us on Twitter @prowrestlingIA, @PWMothership, @RatedRPodcast, @BradyAPodcast, like us on Facebook and go check out our new Instagram account.

From the bottom of my heart, and with a tear in my eye, thank you all for your support! YAY WRESTLING!!  See you at the show!
